About Dr. Margaret Echt

In 2000, my husband, Danny, and our two young daughters, Gabby and Hannah moved to Santa Barbara. Since then, I have enjoyed private practice in OB/GYN. 
 
I attended LSU Medical School then completed a four year residency in OB/GYN at Ochsner Clinic in New Orleans, LA. I remained on staff as Assistant Residency Program Director where I enjoyed teaching young doctors while being a member of a multi group practice. 

 

I enjoy taking care of women of all ages. I keep myself up to date with new research and clinical practices while maintaining my board certification. 
 
I appreciate the quality of life in beautiful Santa Barbara and feel privileged to be a part of the fabulous medical community here. My hobbies include hiking, gardening and cooking. 
 
In 2022, I began a new chapter focusing my expertise solely on surgical and Gynecologic care in a concierge program.  My time and focus are devoted to providing patients continuity of care, and continuing what I love, practicing medicine, for the long term
